In 1993, FTS was one of the pioneering companies to be awarded the ISO 9002 Quality Management System for Ship Supply Management. This certification was converted to the ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2002.

FTS is also certified under ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 22000. ISO 14000 is a series of voluntary standards and guidelines on Environmental Management System, Environmental Auditing, Environmental Performance Evaluation and Environmental Aspects in Product Standards.

ISO 45001 is the certification for Occupational Health & Safety Management. This scheme facilitates the integration of quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems.

ISO 22000 certifies a company for it robustness in Food Safety Management System. This standard also incorporates HACCP requirements and compliance to GMP.

SECURE TRADE PARTNERSHIP

Fuji Trading Singapore (FTS) and Fuji Horiguchi Engineering (FHE) were awarded the Secure Trade Partnership (STP) accreditation by the Singapore Customs in since 2009.
STP is a certification programme assessing the extent of companies’ security measures and process compliance in their trading operations. The STP programme is consistent with the World Customs Organisation (WCO) SAFE Framework of Standards to secure and facilitate global trade, adopted in June 2005.

The STP programme is based on the premises that the twin goals of facilitating trade and ensuring supply chain security is a shared responsibility between the responsibility between the government and industry stakeholders.

 

Benefits of being STP certified includes:  
Cargo less likely to be inspected;
Recognition as a low risk company i.e. enhanced branding;
Reduced inspection or expedited clearance should certified status be also recognised by overseas countries;
STP companies will automatically be recognised as a known consignor (KC) under the Regulated Cargo Agent Regime (RCAR).
